 Kerala has two main hill stations known as Moonnar & Thekkady.
 Moonnar: 1600m above sea level, munnar is a nature lover's paradise and was the summer  resort of british govt. in south india. Sprawling tea plantations, picture-book towns,  winding lanes & holiday homes is situated at the confluence of three mountain streams -  Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundala. This place is a tourist's delight.


 Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary: In the rich jungles of Periyar in Thekkay is one of the  world's most fascinating wild life reserves. Spread across 777 sq.km. of which 360 sq.km  is thick green forests is India's largest wildlife sanctuary and sole tiger reserve. With  its bountiful treasures of tropical flora and fauna, it is the ultimate reservoir of many  an endangered species. It is the best place for viewing wild animals. 120 years old  'Surki' dam built across Peryiar, Poorna in Vedic parlance and an artificial lake of 25  sq.kms. are major attractions. Thekkady is a pleasant heaven on earth for those who love  nature in its wild manifestations. This sanctuary is famous for trekking, elephant ride  and boating. It is the only sanctuary in India where you can view wild life closely from  the safety of a boat in the lake. The greatest attraction is the herds of wild elephants  come down to play  in the lake. You can go for spice plantation visit atop an elephant.
